America's Miss Maryland

This evening I had the pleasure of judging the America's Miss Maryland Teen and America's Miss Maryland pageant. Keia Angela and Sharon Brown produced a magnificent show. Hannah Mollerick the reigning national teen winner delighted the audience with her vast dancing skills while Chelsea the national miss winner entertained us with stories of competing for the title in magical Orlando, FL.

After the announcement of special awards it was time to crown the 2008 royalty. Drum roll please...

*Founded and manage operations as Executive Director of the Beginning the Journey chapter of Reading Is Fundamental.
*Beginning the Journey is selected as Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program of the month (February 2009)
*Received proclamation from Mayor Bruce Williams declaring June 14, 2008 as Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) day.
*Organized, procured funding and purchased over 2200 books for local low income children for the Beginning the Journey chapter of Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) distribution fairs.
