New President

We have a new presidential-elect. Senator Barack Obama won the 2008 president-election by securing 349 electorial votes and 52% of the popular votes. It was a very tight race and every single vote that was cast was crucial to secure his win.

Both presidential candidates have taught me a great lesson. Senator Obama showed that you can achieve what some see as the impossible by believing in yourself and having a plan to take you where you want to be. Senator McCain taught me the most valuable lesson however which is to never give up. Even if things become bleak, stand strong and continue fighting for what you want to achieve. I am truly proud of both Senators for their hard work and perserverance in pursuit of being the leader of our great country.

Today is indeed a great day to be an American!
