Vanessa received scores from her DIBELS exam and her reading has improved however we still need to work on her fluency (speed). Boy, I wish I knew a way to get her to stop silently sounding out the word (you see her lips moving) once or twice before actually saying it because her scores who shoot through the roof if this practice was not in place. I will just continue working with her...maybe in the end with enough practice I will have a speed reader :)
I am currently sick with a flu. This coupled with morning (all day perhaps) sickness I am not feeling 100% myself. Hopefully, I will have this sickness licked in time for the weekend book festivals.
