Ms. Wheelchair Maryland 2011

Today, after church Vanessa, Jade and I met Ms. Wheelchair Maryland 2011, Sharonda Johnson-Wilkes. Unfortunately, I was without my sash however we could not miss the opportunity to have our photo taken with her.

As she prepares to leave for her national pageant in Grand Rapids, Michigan our family will help show our support for her by creating posters to promote her platform this upcoming Tuesday evening.

*Founded and manage operations as Executive Director of the Beginning the Journey chapter of Reading Is Fundamental.
*Beginning the Journey is selected as Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program of the month (February 2009)
*Received proclamation from Mayor Bruce Williams declaring June 14, 2008 as Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) day.
*Organized, procured funding and purchased over 2200 books for local low income children for the Beginning the Journey chapter of Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) distribution fairs.
