Unfortunately, I was unable to appear at the Smithsonian Folk Festival as Ms. District of Columbia All American 2011 due to the USPS not delivering my sash on July 8th by noon as Melissa Hooks, my national director, arranged.
I was a bit disappointed however every great titleholder knows how to accept things they can not control and roll with the punches because things happen.
My first official appearance will now be the Miss Northern Virginia and Miss Teen Northern Virginia USA pageants. What an awesome way to being my reign!
