LaQuisha's Birthday Celebration

Today I spent the day celebrating the birthday of my dear friend LaQuisha.

We began the day by doing some shopping at Ross in Owings Mills. I was pleasantly surprised o find an evening gown for $29.99 which with tax came up to $31.79. I think it is a gorgeous gown and decided to send it to a "stoner" to add some AB stones to it so that I can wear it for the Mrs. Maryland International pageant. I am on the tip of the seat of my chair to see the final product of the gown. Hopefuly, I will not be sorry about my decision to switch gowns especially for a much less expensive one. We did more shopping for additional item for the pageant such as shoes. I did not find anything though because I am not big on shoes and just was not in the right mind frame to choose something. I discovered a Kasper store and picked up a gorgeous watermelon suit that I will use pageant weekend.

The highlight of my day though was celebrating LaQuisha's birthday at Medieval Times. It was my very first time visiting Medieval Times and I must say the experience was out of this world. The plot, costumes and action was second to none. The best thing though is that I was able to share the experience with my pageant sister whom I now call friend. We were trumpant in many ways today. First our horse and rider won but more amazingly we each won because the bond that we have gained through meeting one another is genuine and will last forever. I am so thankful to the Lord for putting LaQuisha in my life that words can not explain how I feel.

After watching the show LaQuisha and I headed to Silver Springs (where a Go Go peace concert was taking place without our knowledge) so that we could purchase ice cream since I had a craving for some. Yes, we are "pageant girls" with an upcoming contest but we know that life is to be enjoyed so we had the ice cream even though we were aware that we would be wearing unitards on stage :) After finishing our ice cream LaQuisha took me home and I invited her in. We began chatting and the clock quickly crept past 11:00 pm which meant that we sat talking for more than 3 hours. We had a blast just being ourselves with one another which is one of the signs of a true friendship.

I will forever cherish the moments I have shared with LaQuisha and know that over the years we will create even more.
