Girl Scout Troop 6037 had it's first meeting tonight. We are currently at a membership of 14 girls. We completed activities to earn the Brownies Girl Scouts Around the World try-it. I think the meeting went very well and the scouts learned a lot about "Brownies" while having a mini culture lesson. First we learned the name for "Brownies" around the world. Then we did in depth presentations on Thailand, Oman and Italy since we discussed those countries in the naming activity. Next we played a Danish game called The Ocean is Stormy." Finally each scout created pictures of activities they enjoy doing with friends which I will have bound into a book for Friendship week later this year.

First Girl Scout Meeting
