Jade's Birthday Party

I am officially pooped :) Today we had Jade's 4th birthday party.

For months we have been planning Jade's birthday party and I am pleased to say we were successful in making her day magical. The theme was Disney Princess. Jade's class mates, Girl Scout and family friends all gathered in Takoma Park at the community center to make the day memorable. The children enjoyed playing bingo, red light green light, Simon says but since the theme was Disney Princess we of course incorporated this concept into the games. As we all know the highlight of every children's party is the cutting of the cake. This party was no exception and every child was eager to get their share of the sweet confection. For Jade though there was a rival to the cutting of the cake...the opening of gifts. Every single gift that she received was fit for a princess. Jade absolutely loved everything and was eager to get home so that she could begin playing with each of them.

I must now go write thank you notes to everyone for making my daughter's party a day that she will forever remember.
