Caring and Sharing Try-It

Tonight troop 6037 had our caring and sharing meeting.

The premise behind the caring and sharing try-it is that no one in the world is exactly like you - or your friends! I began the meeting with the girls sharing their favorites eg. color, place to visit, subject or thing to do. Then we followed with explaining what makes a good friend. After this the scouts paired up and shared with each other one reason why they are unique. Next the partner shared this information with the troop with each scouts getting a turn to speak. After the completion of this we then discussed doing nice things for others when they are not well and just doing good deeds because it makes us feel good while brightening the day of others...a Brownie is a helping ELF afterall. With this in mind we created get well cards for the families of two of our troop members.

This meeting was a little different than our usual event because we also celebrated the birthday of one of our scouts and every person in attendance enjoyed ice cream and cake. This was my second serving of cake this week. Thank goodness the last slice of my own cake is almost gone.
